The Planning & Zoning Department assists Town residents with zoning and compliance permits for new development, additions and renovations to existing buildings, signs, and other activities regarding the comprehensive use of land and buildings. These activities are subject to the Town’s Zoning Ordinance which is in place to promote conditions of public safety and orderly community growth.

A zoning permit is required for, but not limited to, the following:
- New Construction
- Additions
-Renovations Expanding Habitable Areas
- Decks & Porches
- Pools, Storage Buildings, & Garages
- Signs
- Lighting
- Commercial Work - All

A Town Zoning Permit is required prior to submitting to Madison County Development Services Department, Permits & Inspections for your building permit application. Please contact our office as you begin planning for your next project.
