The Public Works Department provides most of the services that residents expect from the town.
Services include:

Street Maintenance and Repairs
Snow Removal
Weekly Trash Collection
Yard Waste Removal

Public Works - Facts
Trash Collection: The Town collects trash once a week on Mondays. Trash cans or bags should be placed on the curbside by 8:00am on collection day. Recycle goods are collected every Thursday and the items may be mixed for pick up.
Alternate Collection Days: If Monday or Thursday is a Holiday, trash will be collected the next day. In the event of snow or ice, collection will be scheduled as soon as roads are safe.
Yard Wastes, Furniture, Large Items: These items are picked up on Fridays. If you have questions about materials such as used appliances to be collected, call town hall regarding these items. Yard wastes such as grass clipping, leaves, and small limbs/shrub trimmings should be bagged.
County Disposal Facilities: The county operates a trash/recycling center on Parkway View Drive for residents of Madison County. The center is open Monday-Friday, 7:30am-6:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-5:00pm.
